Tai Chi

Tai Chi is the deepest & softest style of Chinese Kung Fu. It’s the most popular of the internal styles, in China and worldwide, and is practised as much for its holistic health benefits as it is for self-defence.

Varieties

There are many varieties of Tai Chi – many sub-styles, lineages, schools and teachers each with their own unique features. This is the case with most popular martial arts, but what makes Tai Chi so much more diverse is the amount of people who practise it purely as a system of spiritual exercise, like yoga, without any interest in martial art, while on the other end of the spectrum, masters of all styles of martial art around the world consistently turn to tai chi to take their understanding of martial art to the next level because it’s such a deep, rich system – so comprehensive and so well organised when you really crack it open.
